A Nov York message, says that the rumoured flight of tho Chinese Emperor and the full of Pekin, reported in telegrams to the San Francisco Chinese papers, have been confirmed. A Pekin messago says that the Manchu soldiers assassinated Wu, the new Governor of Shansi.

It is reported at Shanghai and Singapore that Pekin has fallen, but Router's Pekin correspondent to-day does not mention the fact. AVU'S ASSASSINATION.^ A Pekin message says that Wii was killed while asleep in his tent by assassins who alleged that he was a revolutionary. Wu, who was a brilliant young" officer, was educated in Japan, and sympathised with reforms. He was sent to Shansi to persuade tho revolutionaries that their demands for esential reforms would be conceded. Chang-Shao-Tseng will proceed on a similar mission to the Yangtszo Valley. MORE REBEL RECRUITS. The Governor of Suchan has joined the rebels, who are in possession of the southern half of Kinnasu. -BRITISH AND RUSSIAN PRECAUTIONS. About 250 British troops from Hong Kong have been sent to Shanghai and about 200 Russians from Tientsin. ANOTHER FLIGHT. The Regent's brother Tsaihsun, who was noting as Minister of the Navy, has disappeared, and is supposed to have fled. THE IMPERIAL FAMILY. Li-Ynan-Ihing insists that the Imperial Family should be pensioned and should proceed to Jehol. He proposes a- republican union, the Stntcs of which will bo as nearly as possible mutually independent. PEKTN SAFE AT NOON. The "Daily Mail's" Tientsin correspondent states that Pekin was safe at noon.
