AMUSEMENTS.

DENSEM'S HOLIDAY ENTERTAINERS. Though tho wintry nature of the weather on Saturday evening militated against a crowded attendance in so large a hall as the King's Theatre, Mr \Y. Denwem anu his clever little company of performers attracted a very good audience, and the heartiness oi too applause und. recalls testified to tno merit of the programme. Mr J>enseui's musical sketches, monologues and humorous recitations were all entirely successful. In response to a unanimous recall for his clever prese-n----i tawon of Grossmith's " Silver Wedding," Air Densem recited " Mrs Hodgkins," and he also contributed an amusing sketch entitled " 'The Obstructive Hat/' which was encored. Mr I>ensem was also heard to great advantage in his duet with Mib Stanley iiiasfc, "The Singing Lesson." Miss Alice Saunders scored a distinct success in tier Cockney recitation, " All About It," and on being recalled recited "The Reform of Murphy : s Rents." Mr Tom Char tars tang " Long Livo the King" and "Young loin oi iXvon," and was recalled, on each occasion, giving "Tho Irish Girl" as one of ins encore numbers. Mrs Stanley East was in go-ad voice and her singing of " Ma-ppy Song "' and " Vanity Tair" Mas Jieartiiy applauded, the singer responding to recalls on each oocasion. Mr 'I. Armstrong's humorous sketches, "A Country Parson's Notes'' ami "Our Elocution Class," were not the least meritorious contributions to an excellent entertainawi.nt, and the comediettas " Breaking the Ice," played by Miss Alice Saunders and Jur Alan 15. Young, and " TheCollaborators," played by Miss Alice Saunders and Mr YV. H. Cooper, were cleverly acted and much enjoyed by the audience. A new programme will ,be given this evening.

OPERA HOUSE. Vaudeville patrons visited the Opera House in large numbers on Saturday evening, when the various turns met with general approval. To-night's new artists will include Mart-inc-tti and Grossi, musical specialists, Madame Nada Morot, comedienne, and Miss Essie Jennings, ba-lladist. Tbe programme will also includo items by Emerald and Dupre, Signor Martinengo, Mr Sam La Mert, the National Duo, Miss Lucy Lavinia, Mr Ward Lear, Mr Bob Lloyd, Miss Nellie Power and Miss Nellie Maher. WAINONI PARK. Large crowds visited Wainoni Park last week and yesterday the Liuwood Brass Band drew another large attendance. The Zooi will be open every day, and on Show Day there will be an attractive programme of amusements. A grand fireworks display will be held on Show Night.
