WHARF LABOURERS TO MEET
LABOUR COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE STKIKE. United Press Association—By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright. (Received November 3, 10.40 a.m.) SYDNEY, November 3. Tlio Wharf Labourers' Union hag called a mass meeting for Saturday to consider the situation. Wednesday's meeting carried a reso* lution suggesting that all workers, affected by tho strike should join, but it is not considered that they are likely to do so, and tho labourers will probably maintain the attitude that they should work as long as they are not called on to do the strikers' duty. Tho Labour Council has discussed the situation, and condemned the strike and supported Mr M'Gowen's action, MELBOURNE, November 3. In reply . to> questions, Mr Hughes stated that tho President of the Arbitration Court was of opinion that the Court had no jurisdiction over the strike.
