A special meeting of the Women's Christian Temperance Union Avas held yesterday in its headquarters, Mrs 'Cole presiding. Sir Joseph Ward Avnoto, acknowledging the resolution in regard to the Widows' Pension Bill. The Deeorativo Committee reported that it had agreed to carry out tha design recommended by the Union in regard to the no-license demonstration, and would meet; again on November io. A suggestion that tho cradle roll mothers .should wheel their babies in decorated perambulators in tho nolicense demonstration was placed before the meeting. Several members promised to approach the mothers. One new jucijiho? «.vs« initiated.
