Mr H. W. Ross returned from a visitto Sydney this morning. Messrs A. E. Craddock. A. S. Hi.ss, O. B Peuiberton and 11. 0. (iodfrev and Dr Hi Lgendorf arrived from Wellington this morning. Mr .James Jamieson, who li;i-sc been in indifferent health for some little time, will leave this evening for Sydney, and will bo absent from. Christchurch for about a month.
