EXPLOSION OF GAS.
«. [Per-Press Association.] WELLINGTON. July 3. As two men named Ridley and King were passing the weighbridge shed near the Taranaki Street wharf tliis evening they smelt gas. Getting into the shed one of them struck a match. The result was an explosion which sent them hurling back on .to the wharf, knocked over a horse and cart and set lire to the building. Both men wore rather badly burned about the face, but not injured seriously. The fire was put out by the brigade.
