Drcxjvenwkss.—One first offender for drunkenness was fined 5s and costs, in delimit twenty-four hours' imprison-ment.--William John Smith was lined 5s and costs for drunkenness. On a further charge of having resisted Constable in the execution of his duty ho was also fined 5s and costs, in default twenty-lour hours' imprisonment.

Sub-Inspector IM'Grath said that the accused had a very bad record although she was a young woman. Tlie Magistrate said that he would give her another chance, and inllicted a fine of 10s and costs, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment.—John Henry Ware, a young man, was charged with having procured liquor during the currency of a prohibition order against himself. SubInspector M'Grath stated the accused was very seldom sober. The Magistrate warned the accused that if ho appeared in Court again for the same offence lie would most certainly be put out of the reach of temptation for two years.
