Frederick Baker, aged eight years, Jied in the hospital under circumitances irendorinjf an inquest necessary. Flio deceased had been playing at solliors, and received a thrust in the abomen from a stick. On tho following lay he was taken seriously ill, and was ■emoved to the hospital, where lie died. in autopsy revealed the fact that leath was due to peritonitis, caused by i twisted bowel, and that the stick mrust was in no way responsible for his lc-atli. The inquest was adjourned for airther evidence.
