-1, —^— CONSIDERATION FOR A FRENCH LOAN. United Press Association—By Electric • Telegraph—Copyright. < CONSTANTINOPLE, August' 1. The Turkish Parliament voted two million sterling for road repairs. The Government has now accepted a French tender, for practically the whole 'amount-^-'itejecWn^^n^'^uaUy-'-'favour-British tender, desiring to facilitate a Paris loan.
(A cable message published yesterday stated that the Turkish Minister of Finance had failed to negotiate a £10,000,000 loan, the French Govern- 5 ment refusing oii tho ground that he' had not guaranteed that French industry would have a legitimate share in the. orders to be paid out of the loan.)
