Produce merchants, are • -complaining that the Victorian Government certificate is no guarantee of quality. They stato that second and third grade produce has arrived, accompanied by first grade certificates. They have decided to ignore the Victorian merchants' reply that it is a part of concerted action against the grading system.'

The Customs and excise revenue for July reached £1,125,571—the third highest monthly collection. The State will be paid £550.201 by the Commonwealth. OLD AGE PENSIONS.
