She was committed to the Samaritan Home on the understanding that if she remained under its protection for three months she would not be called up for sentence.—Doris Annitage, alias M'Lean, was convicted of vagrancy, and sentenced to twenty-one days' imprisonment for having used obscene language. Both offences wero admitted. —Three months' hard labour was imposed upon Christina Lawsoti, who was declared a rogue and a vagabond.— Mary Ellen Lloyd, who was convicted as an incorrigible rogue, was ordered to appear for sentence unless she remained in the Samaritan Homo for six .months.
