THE BESSES' CONCERT. Tho concerts that were to have boon given by tho Besses-o'-th'-Barn Band at Lancaster Park yesterday wore post?oned owing to the heavy rain, his evening a concert will bo g'ven in Christchurch, in King iward Barracks instead of at Lancaster Park. Tho programme will include J. Ord Hume's maroh "The President/' the overture "Fair Maid of Perth" (Waddeil), a selection from the works of Liszt, the glee " Shades of the Heroes" (Cooke), a selection from Bizet's "Carmen" and H. Round's fantasia "Great Britain." Mr W. Ryder will play "Dream of Love" as a cornet solo, and Mr E. P. Kerry will play, as a euphonium solo, Winterbottom's " Fantasio Fantastique."
