The third Easter tournament of the Christchurch Golf Club began to-day on the Shirley links. !The competition for the championship of Canterbury, two rounds . of eighteen holes, medal play, was completed, and last year's winner, B. C. Rutherford, succeeded in retaining the cup. Both ho and' the run-ner-up, H. C. Smith, played. fine golf. The scores were as follow: —
