*_ DEPUTATION TO THE PREMIER, [Per Press Association.] WELLINGTON, August 7. A deputation from the Victoria College Council, which waited on the Premier, said rthe position in regard to the College finances had reached breaking point, and Government aesistance was sought to enable the College to cope with the wcfc'k which it had to do: The Premier gave a sympathetic reply, expressing his recognition of the valuable work being done, but deferred giving a definite answer pending consultation with the Minister of Education.
