ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
* [Per / Press Association.] DARGAVILLE, August 7. A bushman, nineteen years of age, named James Sawyer, was struck ! by a falling tree on Tuesday and so severely injured that he died. He was brought in to the township on a stretcher carried by four horsemen. WELLINGTON, August 7. A little girl named Lulu Gibbons, who was severely burned while lighting a gorge fire at Akatarawa", died in the hospital. At the inquest a verdict of death from shock, due to burns, was returned.
