Albury, with o, feather-weight up, defeated Loch Fyne and Nadador in a gallop over a mile and a half, run in 2min 55 2-ssec, but as he was receiving a big concession in weight there was not much merit in his performance Nadador performed poorly, finishing about tea lengths behind Loch Fync. She was, however, carrying a good weight. Pierre moved pleasingly in a sound gallop over a mile and a half. Scotty (Julian) and Aorangi (H. Cairns) then set out for a schooling task over the hurdles. The first obstacle was negotiated safely, but at tho second Scotty ran off. Continuing alone, Aorangi completed tho circuit, jumping six nights. He showed a tendency to jump slow and high, and he struck the last obstacle rather heavily, his performance being only' fairly satisfactory. Scotty was given another trial, but continued to show a strong determination to run off, which he finally did. Subsequently his ridsr managed to make him jump two flights, after which he was not persevered with. He then compassed two circuits on the inner track at three-quarter speed. Stormont (Jarvis) and Showman (Jerry O'Connell) gave a capital display over six flights of hurdles. Show man, who improved in his fencing as they went en, appeared to be going the stronger of the pair at the nniah. Seoi Sim and Southern Cross, together, traversed a xnileand a half in 2min 51j£ec. while Canton and Master Le«lie put in a working gallop over a similar distance. Shimmer (Cochrace) and Tessera (C&rr) were companions in a schooling task over six flights of hurdles. The pair fenced capitally until reaohing" the last obstacle, where Tessera, who was tiring, struck heavily and nearly came to grief. Lupnlite was fully extended at the end of half a mile, run in 52 l-ssec. Lcesido galloped a mile, and Thyrsus ran six furlongs in lmin 23 2-ssec. Storm (Cahill), Lingerer (Cochrane) and Mooshen (Jerry O'Connell) set out together for a schooling {ask. commencing ovor .the flight of hurdles at the top. Storm at once set ft solid pace. On reaching the double Lingerer, in trying to run off, came to grief over the wing, and Mooshen also fell. Fortunately the riders escaued injury, and the tv/o horscß galloped out through the crossing. Storm meanwhile continued and corrmlsted the circuit, fencing satisfactorily. Ca Cannie (Ayers) gave a moderately successful display orce round over the bi? fences, and ft bay gelding by Ctrfesby (piloted by S. Grrat) fenced safely. but slowly, over four ftigrnt* of hurdle. Black Friar (Whitettonse) and Ben Fortune (Cochrane). topeiher, fenced enti?factorily over fivo flights, ■Oie former appearing +o most advantage. Ayesha.
