WELLINGTON v. WAIRARAPA.
[From Otxb Corhespojtdext.] WELLINGTON, August 1.
The Wellington-Wairarapa representative match was played on the Athletic Park this afternoon, in fine weather, and on a good ground, before an attendance of about 4000 people. The local team had the upper hand right through the game, and the final result was never in doubt at any stage, Wellington running out in the end winners by thirty points to nil. Tries were scored by M'Leod (2), Roberts, J. Ryan, Evenson (2), Magee and Hardham. J. Ryan converted two of the tries and Mitchinson one.
