HELD UP!

[Pj;r Press Association-.] AUCKLAND, June 5. A young woman twenty-two years of ago, employed in the town late in the evening, was returning home to Porter's Avenue, Mount Eden, at eleven o'clock when she was seized by & man, who placed his hand over her mouth, presented a revolver, and threatened to shoot her if she screamed. The girl, being strong, struggled with her assailant, and, getting free, screamed for help. Several neighbours appearing, the man decamped. That the girl's story is genuine was apparent from the fact that she bore marks of the struggle on her neck and mouth, while several of her teeth were broken.
