SPEECH AT AUCKLAND. [Per Press Association-.] AUCKLAND, June 4. Responding to the toast of the Ministry at « complimentary social to Mr Baurae, M.P., the Hon G. Fowlds said, with reference to the recent talk of a coalition, that there was no reason why the Liberal Party should coalesce with a small party like the OppositionSome members of the Opposition admitted that they would have great difficulty in forming a Ministry from their ranks even if they returned from the polls with a majority, while the Government Party could form iwo three Ministries from its ranks. Social- } ism was only a party cry. The aim of ; the Government was to make progress along sound lines.
