MR HARRY RICKARDS'S VAUDEVILLE COMPANY.

The time 16 now rapidly approaching for the appearance in Cnrisichurch. of Mr Harry Rickards's Vaudeville Company, which the management claims to be the strongest combination of vaudeville performers — as it is certainly far and away the most expensive — that ever appeared in the dominion. In conjunction with Mr Allan Hamilton, Mr Rickards has, during the past two years, sent some of the very best "stars" in the world of vaudeville toNew Zealand, but all previous efforts are to be eclipsed by the company opening at the Theatre Royal on Monday. Of the Sisters .Klos, whose 1 marvellous performances on the Roman rings are said to be quite impossible to describe, the " Melbourne Age "■ wrote: — "The most astonishingly clever and sensational gymnastic turn ever beheld in Melbourne was supplied by the beautiful Sisters Klos. They will assuredly attract all amusement-goers in the city. Their extraordinary feats have never been approached." Of the Miles-Stavordale Quintette of distinguished musicians, who come direct from America, reports speak mest highly. "Voices on strings" is their motto. They are said to extract the most wonderful imitations of human voices from the strings of many instruments. Still another " star " turn is that of the Brothers Artois, in their unique comedy bar act, which, like that of the Klos Sisters, is difficult to describe. For the past six months they have appeared with the greatest success at Mr Riekards's Melbourne and Sydney theatres, where they nightly created a furore. Mis 9 Alma Gray is another "feature", of the programme. This delightful singer and dancer is already a favourite with New Zealand audiences. Mr Leonard Nelsons return will also be warmly greeted, ana the remaining artists of the company will include the English soprano. Miss Lottie Kay (her first appearance in New Zealand), Mr George Dean the ever popular vocal comedian and descriptive singer; tho two Sisters CoJlier and several others. An entirely new series of biograpli pictures secured by Mr Rickards during his last visit to England, will be shown for the fii£t time here. The box plan is at the Dresden, wher.e the booking is already good. ___________ —
