RIFLE SHOOTING.
LINCOLN DEFENCE RIFLE CLUB. The annual field day in connection with theLincoln Defence Rifle Ciub was held on the Tai Tapu range on Easier Monday. Owing to the strong north-east wind, which, before the longer ranges were reached, increased to a gale, the marksmen were all in trouble at 1 the longer ranges. The shooting counted for two matched, the Field Day match and the second competition for Mr R. Rainey's gold medal and Mr C. M. Sucklings' trophy.
