ELEVATION'S LAMENESS.
(Received April 15, 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 15. The Jockey Club has increased the entrance fee to twenty guineas. The stakes for various events next year will be increased by 4,150 soya, including the Derby to 3000 soys, Spring Stakes 1000 soya. Metropolitan Handicap 2500 soys and Sydney Cup 2500 soys.
The " Herald " states that Elevation's lameness is due to striking himself badly.
