SUPREME COURT.
[Per Press Association.] AUCKLAND, December -3. At the Supremo Court, Henry Lawrence, of Hamilton, was charged with two forgeries, committed soon after serving a sentence for a similar offence. He pleaded illness. The Grown Prosecutor said thathe understood the accused was in a dying condition. Mr Justice Denniston imposed an indeterminate sentence with four years' hard labour on each charge, concurrent. Frederick Huntly St Clair, charged with theft from his employer, and false pretences, was sentenced to six months' hard labour.
