CHRISTCHURCH. Friday, December 20. (Before Mr H. W. Bishop, S.M.) Drunkenness. — Four first offenders were fined 5s each, in default twenty--four hours' imprisonment, on charges of drunkenness. — William Bowron, who had been once previously convicted, was fined 10s, in default forty-eight hours' imprisonment on a similar charge. — Jane Dawson, who did not appear, was charged with being drunk while in charge of a horse and cart yesterday. A fine of 20s, in default seven days' imprisonment, was inflicted.
