Mrs Goold, replying to the examining Magistrate,' oohfessed that her lnisband murdered Madame Levin with an Indian knife. She was not present, but on entering the room saw Madame Levin dead on the floor, and her husband covered with blood. He implored her to aid him to avert all suspicion. He was too drunk to begin cutting up the remains, and this was done next day. She was unable to explain why her husband killed the woman.
