The Rev P. R. Paris arrived from the north by the s.s. Tarawera this morning. The Hon C. Louisson, M.L.C., arrived from Wellington by the e.s. Mararoa this morning. A Press Association message states that a cablegram received in Wellington announces that Sir James Mills, managing director of the Union Steamship Company, whose knighthood was recently announced, received the honour at the hands cf tho King on Monday afternoon. The superintending steward of the Lyttelton Sailors' Home wishes to acknowledge the receipt of "London Graphics" and "Tit Bits" from Mr C. J. W. Cookeon, Lyttelton. Messrs Quiree (Wolliiigton), W. Aspinall, P. Carroll (Dunedin), and L. Maxwell (West Coast) are in Christchurch.
