Cutts sent Glenculioch and Golden Cairn over four furlongs, which they covered in 52 l-ssec, finishing in the order named. Prism next galloped four furlong 3 in 52 3-ssec. Guidwife had slightly the better of a gallop with Signalman over five furlongs in lmin 4 l-ssec. • Clanchattan ran a mile in lmin 44 3-ssec, the last four furlongs in. 55seo — a good gallop. William was sent over a mile and a quarter at half-speed. Submarine covered a mile and a quarter at top, De Wittee joining in at the six-furlcng post. The full distance took 2min 13sec, the last four furlongs 55 l-ssec. Marguerite ran four furlongs in 53 4-ssec. Achilles beat Ghoorka very easily over a mile in lmin 45sec, the lost four furlongs in 52 l-sseo. Gold Crest beat Devonia (five lengths clear) over four furlongs in 51 2-ssec, and Grand Circle beat Fascination over five furlongs in lmifi 8 2-ssec. Blythemaid rap five furlongs in lmin 4 2-ssec. Baliarat covered four furlongs in 'Slsec, and Replete completed a Bimilar task in' 52scc. Pearl Reef and _,amsdorf strode along over a mile and a quarter, coming home from the four-furlong post in 55 3-ssec. Several other horses did fight work.
