The directors of the Consolidated Gold u fields of New Zealand, Limited, have issued a circular to their shareholders, and also to the shareholders of the Progress Mines? of New Zealand, Limited, in which they state that, in consequence 1 of the entirely satisfactory way in which the Blackwater mine has opened up, the directors have exercised the option held by the two companies. A transfer of the property has been completed in the joint names of the two companies, and the balance of the purchase-money . of £27,000, making' in all £30,000, has been paid.
