WEST COAST RAILWAY.
THE TIME-TABLE QUESTION. [Pjsr Press Association.]
HOItITIKA, December 7. Very great dissatisfaction" is expressed locally at the sudden change of the overland time-table, which cuts Hokitika out of the benefit of tho now service. Passengers for here who travelled overland yesterday had to stop fifteen hours in Grey mouth, only twentyfour miles ; separating the two places. They assert that they were informed in Christ-church in the morning that they could reach their destination- the same evening. Tho Wellington and Christchurch mails were also delayed overnight in Grey mouth, with no opportunity of replying to important letters till the morning. This treatment is considered most unfair, when, a readjustment of the time-tablo could easily be made to suit' the conveniences of the people. The action of the Department in the matter is being strongly resented.
