WANGANUI AND WEST COAST.

[Per Pbess Association.] # WANGANUI, November 15. The morning broke dull, but the weather is glorious for the People's Day of the show, and the attendance bids fair to eclipse /all previous records. There is a large number of visitors from the north and south, the town and country and the back-blocke all being well represented. Draught horses were judged to-day, and are very strong, both in numbers and quality, in fact, the quality is the best ever seen here. In Clydesdale stallions A. Alexander's Knight of Thistle took first and champion, with G. F. Moore's Bancor second. A. Alexander's Queen of May won the first and champion for the best all-round mare, and M. Edgar's Tom-tit the first for weight-carrying colt as well as carrying off the driving honours. The competitions are now proceeding, and great interest is being taken in them by the public.
