There has been placed in the Victorian Government's Court a very fine sample of red gum wood, grown on Brown's Plains, Murray River district, near Bariiawartha. It is exhibited by the Royal Agricultural Society of Victoria, and Mr Nichools is having a portion of it polished. The seventh issue of the stickers is now available for distribution. Limited supplies will be handed to appiicants from a table situated under the dome in the Main Hall. The distribution will last for one hour each day, commencing at 7 p.m., and 'terminating at 8 p.m. Certificates of attendance at the New Zealand International Exhibition can be obtained from a eba.ll within the Exhibition Buildings.. This is a tim-?-honoured feature of International Exhibitions. Theee certificate® are issued as souvenirs of the Exhibition, particularly for young people, who, in years to come, will be able to look back to them as records of an interesting event in their lives. Heavy bookings of passengers are reported from both Dunedin and Wellington in connection with the special weekend tripe which are being initiated by the Union Steamship Company. These week-end excursions will be maintained throughout the Exhibition period. The Fijian Natives will arrive tomorrow morning in charge of Mr Scott, assistant commissioner. Mr Leslie Brown, chief commissioner for Fiji, went to Wellington yesterday to meet them. An enclosure- in which to locate the Fijians is being rapidly prepared. It is situated at the back of the Mines Department's outdoor exhibit. , A popular concert will be given, in the* Concert Hall at eight o'clock this evening, at which the- special attractions will be thp engagement of" Mrs Louis Schatz (Miss Connie Buttelj and Mr Crabtree, of Sydney. Mr Cyril Monk will play a violin solo, and Mr Ernest Jamieson a piccolo eolo. The orchestra will 'conclude the performance with the well-known march "Chivalric." Free admission to the Exhibition Building and Grounds-has been granted to the inmates cf the School for Deaf Mutes. Their visit has been arranged to take place shortly. With regard to the visit of the Fijian Fire Walkers from the Island of Bega, the general manager of the Exhibition has been advised that the troupe will leave Suva on December 6, and will arrive in Christchurch on December 15. The party will comprise twenty-seven fire walkers, and it is proposed to give the opening performance on December 17.
