, Owing to the unfavourable state of tae weather and the roads the Canterbury Firms' Road Race, which, was to have been held this afternoon/ under the auspices of the Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club, has been postponed indefinitely. •. The Grocers' road race on Thursday afternoon resulted as follows: — T. H. Butterfield 1, J. Templetoh 2, T. Whitmore 3. B. Forgie made the fastest time.
