: His Excellency the Governor and Lady Plunket will pay a visit to Kaiapoi on Monday next. They will arrive by motor-car at 2.80 p.m., and will be received by the Mayor and borough councillors. After visiting local institutions they will inspect the woollen mills under the guidance of Mr G. H. Blackwell, chairman of directors. Mr Justice Cooper, who has been conducting the business of the Supreme Court for the past three weeks, will return to Wellington this evening; The Rev Canon Dodd and Dr M'Hroy arrived from Wellington by the s.s. Rotomahana this morning. The following passengers have been booked for Wellington by the 6;s. Rotomahana, leaving this evening :— Misses Wilson, Willis, Millburn, Husband, Roberts, Philips, Lee and * Satton ; Mesdames Chambers, Paterson, Johnston arid Lee j. Messrs Willoocks, Chambers, Mather, Maddison, Tabart, Clark, Woodham, Randall, Pater-son, Awdry, Cooper, Baker, Mitchell, Recce, Kuck, Beaver, Wynne, M'Master, Barnes, Hatfield, Willis, Piper, Wilson, Jones, | Clarkson, Dawson and Fulton; Mr Justice Cooper and Bishop Grimes.
