A SERIOUS CHARGE
ARREST IN CHRISTCHURCH Chief -Detective Chrystel and Detective O'Connell this morning arrested; a man in Christchurch on a charge of procuring 'abortion. It is understood' that the female concerned is not in a serious condition. The accused, who is a man of good position in the city, will be brought up at the Magistrate's Court to-morrow morning, and probably remandsd. Another arrest in connection with the same charge was made yesterday at Wellington, a man being detained on a charge of procuring the Christchurcb accused to commit the offence. He was brought bsfore the Magistrate at Wellington this .morning, and remanded to appear here tomorrow.
