CUST DAIRY COMPANY.

THE FACTORY. The opening ceremony of the Oust Dairy Company's factory took place to-day. The building has been constructed by Messrs Early and Sons, to the satisfaction of the directors, at a cost of about £200, the' expenditure on machinery, for which . The fittings include an Alpha— Laval separator J of a 440 gallon per hour capacity, Topliss's pasteuriser of new style, Delaval creamt cooler, W and B cheek pump for maaeuring out skim-milk, milk tester by Baflfcock, largo concrete tank 16 by 4, for keeping the cream cool, a four horse-power engine and boiler by Topliss Bros, with Topliss and Durward's patent governors, and necessary vats for receiving milk. Thee© were erected by Messrs Topliss Bros, in conjunction with. Messrs Mason, Struthers and Qo. Mr E. Keig, for seven years in charge of the Cheviot factory, ihas been appointed manager, and Mr *G. Roberts, managing director. The milk of about 240 cows ha* been promised, and) the undertaking bids fair to fulfil a long-felt want in the diatrict.
