— . — « . A very successful entertainment in aid of Nurse Maude's Open-air Hospital for Consumption, was given last night in Mr. EL Fkmmmg's large shed at Port Levy. Mr H. Field was chairman, and. an exceedingly good miscellaneous programme was rendered by a number of ladies and gentlemen from 'Christchurch, .assisted by local residents. The attendance _ whs large. Through the . generosity of Mr Mark Thomas, the performers from Christchurch and a numbsr of other visitors were conveyed from* Lyttelton to Port Levy and brought back this morning, free of cost, by the s.s.
