"M'Kinney had applied for 520 acres of the Tokatoka land, and secured ninety-six acres afc the ballot, though he already held 640 acres of firsfcclai® land under occupation with the right of purchase. M'Kinney appeared before the Board and admitted the facts, but stated that- when he applied for the Tokatoka lan-1 he had overlooked the fact that ho held land under a previous-ballot.
