— , — « . STAR CHAMBER PROCEEDINGS. [Per Piiess Association.] WELLINGTON, August 18. Tlie question of Star Chamber sittings in divorce casas was raised before Mr Justice Cooper this morning. His Honor declined to order the Press not to publish particulars of a case before the Court. If it were in the interests of public morals he would not hesitate to order the non-publication, but his experience was that the newspapers in the colony were exceedingly careful nob to publish anything likely to offend publio morals. He was opposed to Star Chamber / proceedings, unless under exceptional circumstanoes.
