NEW ZEALAND DEBENTURES
FOREIGN RENEWALS. [Peb Pbbss Association.] WELLINGTON, May 5. The Treasury states that what it considers a satisfactory proportion of the debentures issued in Australasia under the Land for Settlements Consolidation Act of 1900 has been renewed for five years on the same terms as before, namely, interest at the rate of 4 per cent per annum, holders to have the option at any time within two years from May 1 of converting the debentures into 3 per cent inscribed stock, with forty years' currency for every £100 debenture. It is believed that this offer has also been largely availed of by English holders. The value of the debentures issued in New Zealand and Australia, four years ago was £590,750. S
