THE TORGAUTEN.
[Per Press Association.] HOKITIKA, April 27. Further^efforts were m»4e this morning by the tug Westland to tow the Torgaufcen off the beach, but, after aft hours pull the line again parted, and the tug immediately returned to Qrevmouth. The conditions are not so favourable to-day as last night, the sea being rougher. The launching across the beach to Hokitika River will now" probably be definitely decided upon.
