Leontieff, a Russian explorer, whose mission to Abyssinia in 1.01 created' considerable excitement, has been awarded 45,000 francs damages against the Paris Biograpb afnd Mutoscope Company for refusing to take pictures representing Emperor Menelik's Court. M. Leontieff gave Emperor Menelik two quick-firing guns and 40,000 cartridges to induce • bim to pose for the pictures.
