Mr Deakin,,, commenting on the English criticisms of the elections, says the statement that the elections ftav» gone against Mr Chamberlain is erroneous. His policy is supported by the Ministerial party and. 1 by a large majority of the Labour party, as •well as by an influential minority of the Opposition. The criticisms showed that there -was soope for education among the leading English papers <m Australian, politics.
