The thorough search made of the Heathcote River yesterday was quite fruitless, and this line 'Of search** will now be abandoned. A party of men are at present at work cleaaiing the river, so that if a body did appear it could nob escape notice. Dr Marshall, the missing man's brother, \left on his return to Dunedin by this morning's express train. He will inquire regarding the statement that his brother was seen in Dunedin last week. j
