LONDON, July 23. The wool sales closed firm all round. During the scries 80,000 bales have been sold to Home buyers, 63,000 bales to Continental buyers, 5000 bales t6 American buyers, and 15,000 bales have been held over. Compared with the May series the closing prices for fino cross-breds were 5 per cent higher, medium 10 per cent, and coarse 12-i per cent higher. Lambs, are unchanged, and good greasies and merinoes are unchanged, but faulty and inferior greasies are a half-penny cheaper.

Copper.— On spot £56 2s 6d per ton, threo months' £55 2s 6d per ton.
