TO-MORROW'S POLL.

NOTES FOR VOTERS.

To-morrow the ratepayers of the Christchurch Tramway district will be asked to sanction the raising of a loan of £250,000 for the construction and equipment of electric tramways.

Polling will take place between 9 a.m and 6 p.m.

Ratepayers must record their votes in the sub-district on the roll of which their names arc placed.

It should be noted thai under the Tramway Act persons whote qualification is residential are nob entitled to vote at polls taken on proposals relating to loans or rates.

Only ratepayers and freeholders, and their wives or husbands, will be able to vote.

If there is any doubt in regard to the district in which a ratepayer must vote, application should be ma.de at the Board's office, in Gloucester Street, where the roll may be seen. >.

The returns at the various booths, when completed, will be forwarded to the principal booth, at the Provincial Council Chambers, where the result will be announced.
