PERTH, June 15.
The case against Carlyon, of sending aa explosive bomb by post z resulted! in a ver-< diet of not guilty. .
(On Feb. 13 Mr Lownes, a well-known business man at Yalgoo, received a, parcel through the. post, the address written^ apparently, in a, lady's handwriting. It was closely packed;, and this circumstance led the postal officials to surmise that it contained gold. It was, therefore, surcharged 1 by registration, andi Mr Lownes opened the box in the post office. A terrifia explosion of gelignite followed^ blowing Mr Lownes's left hand and forearm) to pieces, and severely burning the postal assistant. Mr Lownes egcclaimed, " This is the work of my enerayv I knew it would come. :He threatened Ut do for me." The arm was amputated 1 .),
