— ♦ Captain, Bowling, of the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company's service, arrived from Wellington by fche s.s. Rotomahana this morning. . ■'.■'■ Sir G. Clifford and Mr F. Waymouth went south to-day. Mr H. C. Cameron, Government Produce Commissioner at London, arrived at JMelbourne on Tuesday by the P. and O r b.%. Oceana, en route for New Zealand. He proceeds immediately to Sydney to join the b.s. Moeraki, due to arrive in New Zealand on Wednesday next. - -The death is announced in Wellington of Mr Thomas fylason. He arrived in the colony in 1841, and settled in the Hutt Valley, and lived there ever since. He sat in the House of Representatives many years ago, and held other public positions.He had, a colonial, reputation as a horticulturist. ■
