. : + • Tha committee of tho Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association uneb this afternoon. Mr G. Gould (president) was in the chair, and there were fifteen members present. On the motion of Mr J. Reid it was resolved— " That" tins Association has heard with the deepest regret of the untimely 'death of Mr George Roberts, ex-president of the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association, and that copies of the resolution, together with letters of condolence, be sent to his widow; his father and the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association." > Mr T. Chapman wjrote resigning his position on tho committee, as ho was unable to attend the meetings. The resignation was accepted nvith regret, and Mr R. N. Bealey was elected to fill the vacancy.
