Messrs Stronach and Morris from the founding of that firm., leaves Dunedin for Christchurch on June 16. having accepted ai position as auctioneer to the New Zealand Farmers' Co-operative Association. Mr Stronach, who is widely known and respected in stock and station circles, occupies the position of major and second in command of No. 1 Battalion of Mounted Rifles. . Lieutenant-Colonel Gilmore arrived from Sydney by the s.s. Monowai this morning. 'The Rev J. Finlayson arrived by the s.s. Monowai from Wellington, this morning. Mr R. M'Millan, editor of. the Sydney "Stock and Station Journal/' arrived by th« Monowai to-day. He intends to proceed by the Papanui to the Argentine, which country he is visiting in the interest of his paper. From South America hegoes on to London before returning to Australia.
