GERMANY AND CANADA.
FOREIGN NEWSPAPER OPINION. (Received June 4, 1.55 p.m.) LONDON, June 3. The "Times" says the mere apprehension that Britain is forging weapons for a commercial war induced Germany instantly to abandon coercion against Canada. The Paris newspapers, " Journal des Debats " and " Le Temps " condemn Mr Chamberlain. Tho American newspapers exhibit little disposition to quarrel with England, even if America suffers. They emphasise the fact that American -trade with Protectionist Australia has increased 22 per cent within a decade.
